Batak Legacy is a national treasure that should be kept in a museum.
But we believe that the best way to introduce Indonesia’s glorious past and culture is by giving people an opportunity to live in a Batak warrior’s
150-year-old traditional wooden house.

This one-of-a-kind Batak warrior’s house was relocated to the highlands of Bedugul, Bali, from North Sumatra.
A traditional house of this size would normally accommodate close families,
but Batak Legacy villa has been reinvented to accommodate one couple with an extra bed.

The design of the Batak house with its saddle shaped roof, and doors and windows when closed up offered good protection
from enemies with its decorations of intricate carvings and statues also warded off evil

The villa itself is located at the edge of pristine jungle with views over the valley complimented with an expansive deck,bale and spring water fed swimming pool, with a choice of indoor or alfresco dining. The deck is a perfect spot to enjoy personal healing through meditation, reiki, yoga or
just to relax and stare across the jungle glory. Stairs lead down to the bbq space with seating arrangement surrounding the fire pit,
where our staff will prepare amazing delicacies for your dining pleasure.
